We have resumed our face-to-face short-duration course program for 2020 with my course on EPANET. This is all happening while the Covid-19 pandemic is ravaging the world. Read all about our experience.
Throughout 2019 we were busy ordering books for the physical libraries of our project members.
With almost 400,000 cases of Corona virus across the world many countries are in lock-down and it seems that it will still take some weeks for the number of new cases to plateau in Europe and in the US. Having this in mind we decided to stop all project activities that require bringing people together, including all project meetings and short-courses. The situation will be re-evaluated on a monthly basis. Our expectation is that this will lead to a delay in project activities of 3-6 months.
It’s that period of the year again: Christmas is coming and we start looking back and understanding what we did, what went well and what we should do differently in 2020.
For more than a year we have been busy lecturing EAWAG‘s MOOC series “Sanitation, Water and Solid Waste for Development”, in parallel we also translated the course material into Portuguese. With three training sessions done and the translations now complete, we take the time to tell you about the whole process.
